Yoga may be a favorite activity for adults in Austin, but now kids are getting involved.
Jessica Goulding has been hosting yoga classes for children for years now because of the benefits it offers kids.
The breathing exercises associated with yoga helps kids focus and learn how to deal with emotions like anger or stress. Rather than acting out they learn they can center themselves by deep breathing.
Yoga also helps kids with flexibility, balance and physical awareness. There are classes for parents and children up to age four, when children can participate in classes on their own.
